At Yotkom we work in partnership with a strong spirit of love and unity and a shared vision to improve the quality of health care provided to Northern Uganda and to make this accessible to the most needy.
Our weekly teaching ward rounds are attended by nurses, doctors and allied health workers.
These are a wonderful way to continue ongoing medical education and improve outcomes for our patients, many of whom have very complex conditions affecting multiple systems, such as diabetes, heart disease, liver failure and kidney disease.
Infectious diseases like Pneumonia, Malaria, Gastroenteritis, Tuberculosis and HIV/ AIDs are also commonly treated by our medical team.
Patients may also come to the hospital very late with advanced complications like severe anaemia , heart failure , breathing difficulties and shock.
